🕊️Peace & Blessings 🌻Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ,
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Luke 19:10
Grace is not God waiting at a distance. Grace is God stepping into the field where we are.
Picture a childhood game of tag.
At first, everyone is running. It feels like movement, freedom, and life itself. But over time something changes. The running becomes a cycle as fear, pride, bitterness, unforgiveness, and sin begin shaping the direction of the game.
Many do not realize it, but they are not just running. They are distant from safety.
Yet from the beginning, God established a place of rest. Like a base in the game or a porch where a child is safe, God has always had a place of return: His presence, His love, and His covering. Humanity wandered from that place through sin, but God never stopped calling us back.
Grace is the invitation to come home.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
We did not move toward God first. God moved toward us first.
Jesus did not remain outside the field watching. He entered it Himself, stepping into our condition and carrying the weight of our separation so that we could be brought back to the Father. His mission was not passive observation. It was active rescue.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”Â
Romans 3:23
“For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.”Â
James 2:10
The Law reveals something true about us: we cannot return on our own strength. Even if we tried to live perfectly, one failure breaks the standard. The issue is not merely behavior. The issue is separation.
Because of this, we do not need improvement alone. We need rescue.
Jesus Himself said, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.”Â
Matthew 5:17
“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.”Â
Romans 10:4
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”Â
John 14:6
Jesus becomes the way back. Not by helping us run better in the field but by bringing us out of it entirely. Through Him, we are no longer trying to earn our way back to God. Instead, we are covered by His righteousness through faith.
Grace is not earning your way back to base. Grace is being called back by the One who already made the way.
Grace is not only rescue. It is also restoration.
Those who have received mercy are called to walk differently and to invite others into the same grace they have received. Yet there is an enemy who works against this calling because deception depends on keeping people from truth, wasting their time and delaying their restoration.
“Even Satan transforms himself into an angel of light.”Â
2 Corinthians 11:14
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”Â
Galatians 6:7
Deception rarely looks like destruction at first. It often looks like wisdom, opportunity, or freedom. What appears harmless can slowly pull a person away from the place God is calling them back to.
The enemy’s strategy is often not sudden collapse. It is gradual drift. Small compromises seem harmless in the moment yet over time they reshape the direction of a life. Then comes the lie: there is no way back.
But the Gospel speaks differently.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”Â
Matthew 11:28
“Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”Â
John 16:33
Jesus Christ is still the way back. He does not call us into exhaustion but into rest. He does not call us into confusion but into peace. He does not call us into bondage but into life.
“God is not the author of confusion but of peace.”Â
1 Corinthians 14:33
“For whom the Lord loves He chastens.”
Hebrews 12:6
Even correction is not rejection. Confusion is not the voice of God. God convicts but He does not abandon. God disciplines but He does not destroy. A loving Father corrects His children because He desires their restoration, not their ruin.
Where the enemy distorts, God restores. Where the enemy binds, Christ frees.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”Â
Hebrews 13:8
Everything in the field changes but Christ does not. The same voice that called the lost then is still calling now.
Grace Is the Call Back Home
Grace is not just forgiveness after failure. Grace is the invitation to leave the field and return to safety.
This invitation is not given because we earned it or because we deserve it. It is given because God loves us and has made a way through Jesus Christ.
The question is no longer whether the base is available. The question is whether we will answer the call.
The door is still open. The voice is still calling. And Jesus Christ is still saying,
Come home.
May God Bless You On Your Journey, In The Mighty Name Of Jesus Christ Of Nazareth.Â
